Your shadow is not the part of you that is “bad.”

Your shadow is composed of the parts of yourself that you have been taught or socialized to reject or deny as “bad.” For example, if you had a parent who didn’t have the capacity to meet your needs because of their own trauma, stress, addictions or mental/emotional health, you may have received the message that you are “needy” and this is something “bad” about you.

If you are internalized rejection of your right to have needs, you may try to get those needs met in ways that are unconscious and embedded with the expectation of rejection.  This is just ONE of the many ways that shadow can play out in our lives in a way that deepens a groove of shame and disappointment. 

In order to continue to grow and integrate our shadow, we practice gathering the rejected parts of ourselves back into our adult arms.  We learn to recognize where and why we received messages from our family of origin or the greater world around us that created this shadow.  And we recognize that we are deeply worthy beings.  We will use Breathwork to tune into and soothe our Inner Child, release suppressed emotions, clear emotional pain, and tune into our Heart frequency on the other side. 

Breathwork is an active meditation technique that uses the breath to purge the body and nervous system of emotional debris.  It is part catharsis, part socially sanctioned adult temper tantrum, part community building and part consciousness altering.  The experience moves stuck emotional energy and facilitates release of strong emotions like anger and sadness.  It can help you to find a home in your body and your heart and help you learn to trust yourself.  It leaves you feeling softer, open and less burdened.

I have allocated a certain number of reduced rate spaces for this healing group.  There are 10 spaces available for Black, Indigenous or People of Color.  There are 10 spaces available if you are experiencing financial insecurity OR you are LGBTQIA+.  The spaces will show as sold out when they have all been claimed.
